The objective of Work Package 2 is to conduct a comprehensive field analysis to document and understand teachers’ competencies in STEAM literacy in Finland, Belgium, and Estonia. This will involve organizing a kick-off meeting in Finland to coordinate the project’s initial phase and plan activities for the next 25 months. On-site monitoring in Finland, Belgium, and Estonia will gather field notes on teachers’ competencies, collected by lecturers, researchers, school teachers, and students. These notes will be analyzed to develop an action plan and a competence framework for enhancing STEAM education. This framework will guide a programmatic approach to STEAM training for teachers, facilitating the exchange of good practices and implementations among participants. The outcomes will include detailed field notes, a competence framework, and enhanced teamwork, critical thinking, evaluation, and reflection skills among participants, contributing to the project’s overarching goal of improving STEAM literacy in school education.
